Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effect of reflux experienced during pregnancy on quality of life and adaptation to pregnancy. Methods: This study was conducted with a total of 224 pregnant women, 112 with reflux (case group) and 112 without reflux (control group) during pregnancy. Research data were collected with Personal Information Form, Quality of Life Scale, and Acceptance of Pregnancy Subscale of the Prenatal Self Evaluation Questionnaire. Results: In the study, it was found that the average quality of life scores of the pregnant women in the case group was lower than the pregnant women in the control group and this difference was statistically significant. In the study, it was found that the mean scores of adaptation to pregnancy of the pregnant women in the case group (33.21±5.89) were higher than the pregnant women in the control group (27.13±3.84) and this difference was significant in the statistical analysis. Conclusion: In this study, it was concluded that the quality of life and adaptation to pregnancy levels of pregnant women who had reflux during pregnancy were lower than those who did not experience reflux during pregnancy

Objective: This research was contucted to evaluate of anthropometric measurements of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Methods: The populations of the research consist of 63 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder who are studying at special education and rehabilitation center in Bursa. Sample selection wasn’t made in this study. 50 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder were included on a voluntary basis in the scope of research. Weight and height were measured and Body Mass Index was calculated for children in the research. Results were evaluated with percentile charts. Results: Number of boys and girls are 36 and 14, respectively. Mean age is 11.49±4.51. 4% of children were weak, 36% were normal, 18% were overweight and 42% were obese compared to the Body Mass Index values. Conclusion: As a result, prevelance of overweight and obesity was high in children with Autism Spectrum Disord

Objective: This research was conducted to determine the sexual myths of health professionals. Methods: The universe of this study was all of the health care professionals (N=323) in a State Hospital between October 2016 and December 2017 and sample of the study was 195 health care, professionals, including 128 nurses, 32 paramedic, 25 midwives and 10 health care officers. The data were collected by using two data collection tools, Personal Information Form and Sexual Myths Scale. Results: As a result of the findings, it was determined that the average age of the health professionals is 27.34 ± 5.92. In the families of 69.2% of the health professionals, the related topics are not talked about sexually and the related information is not given, 41 % of the health professionals were get the first information about sexuality from their friends. The mean score of the sexual myths scale of the health professionals in the study was 77,26±16,71. There was a statistically significant difference between the average scores of sexual myths scale according to age, gender, occupation, marital status, who experienced first sexual experience, belief in the definite rhetoric about the sex, and the first source of information (p<0,05). In line with these results, it was determined that the sexual myths of health professionals. Conclusion: It is suggested that health professionals hould carry out studies aiming to remove the sexual myths existing through in-service trainings on sexuality and take active role of psychiatric nurses in these studies.

Objective: The aim of the study is to examine the internet and social media usage status of pregnant women. Methods: This cross - sectional study was conducted between January - August 2019 in Aydin Obstetrics and Paediatrics Hospital. The study included 296 women who came to this hospital to receive follow-up and care services and selected convenience sampling methods. Data were collected with a questionnaire developed by the researchers and analysed with descriptive statistics and chi-square test.Results: The mean age of the pregnant women was 27.01±4.88 (range: 16-38), 51.4% were middle and 23.0% high school graduates, and 26.4% were employed in income-generating jobs. It was found that 32.1% of the pregnant women had first and 54.7% had 2-3 pregnancies, 23.6% participated in pregnant information class and 22.0% had problems during pregnancy. Of pregnant women, 75%felt that they needed information, 70.6% reported that they used internet and 55.1% used social media. Of the pregnant women obtained this information, 53.7%did not trust this information and 65.4% reported that they interviewed their midwives to confirm this information. The rates of internet use as a source of information were found to be statistically significant in the 16-19 and 20-29 age groups (88.2% and 76.8%) compared to the 30-38 age group(53.9%; X2=18.028; p=0.000), in the unemployed and civil servants (90.9% and 73.1%) compared to housewives (65.9%; X2=8.720; p=0.013), in the high school and university graduates (91.2% and 86.1%) compared to less education (59.5%; X2=20.699; p=0.000), in the living in nuclear family (77.9%) compared to extended family (44.6%; X2=27.115; p=0,000), in the first pregnancy (85.3%) compared to2-3 (67.3%) and 4-6 (48.7%) pregnant women (X2=19.699; p=0,000).In order to obtain information, it was determined that pregnant women in the 16-19 and 20-29 age group (82.4% and 60.0%) used more social media than the 30-38 age group (39.3%; X2=15.897; p=0.000), in the high school and university graduates (69.1% and 81.4%) than with less education (43.8%; X2=30.862; p=0.000), in the living in the nuclear family (60.2%) than extended family (36.9%; X2=11.082; p=0.001), in the first pregnancy (74.7%) than 2-3 (48.8%) and 4-6 (33.3%) pregnancy (X2=24.900; p=0,000). Conclusion: In this study, it is concluded that they use the internet and social media widely as a source of information, especially young, educated, non-housewives, and pregnant women living in nuclear families and having their first pregnancy. These sources of information are important in terms of ensuring that pregnant women and their families can immediately access the information they are looking for. In order to ensure the easy access of pregnant women to the right information, it can contribute to the development of mother-baby health by checking the accuracy of the information shared in these environments.

Objective: In this study; nutrient consumption, Orthorexia Nervosa scores and body mass indexes of the students who were or did not receive nutrition education at a foundation university were compared. Methods: The universe of the study; Nutrition and Dietetics (230) and Social Work students (200) from a foundation university in Istanbul were formed. As data collection tools; The Orthorexia Nervosa Assessment Test (ORTO-11) and the 24-hour food consumption record were used. SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) 17.0 program was used in the evaluation process. The results were evaluated at 95% confidence interval and p <0,05 at significance level. Results: When Body Mass Indexes of two parts were compared; it was found that 15,6% of the students in the Social Work Department and 8,3% of the Nutrition and Dietetics students were overweight or obese. When ORTO-11 score evaluations were compared, it was seen that orthorectic individuals were present in two groups, but it was found that there was more orthorexia nervosa in the Nutrition and Dietetics students (79,1%) (p <0,05). Conclusion: In order to determine the current status of orthorexia nervosa in Turkey, studies investigating the prevalence and validity and reliability of the ORTO-15 scale should be increased. A multidisciplinary approach should be used in the diagnosis and treatment of orthorexia nervosa

Smartphones and tablets are mobile technological devices that are used for many purposes such as communication, transportation, entertainment, education, and security. Although it is used by all age groups of the community, especially children and adolescents spend a long time with smartphones and tablets. With the increasing use of mobile technology, various symptoms such as musculoskeletal pain, insomnia, difficulty in concentrating, and fatigue appear. The definition of "text neck" is the firstly described by Dr. Dean L. Fishman as has a problem of the neck, head and shoulder pain, and numbness in the upper extremities who use smartphones and tablets for a long time. This kyphotic posture, which the head and arms are at the front for a long time while using mobile devices, is thought to pose a potential risk for early arthritis onset and disc degeneration. “Text neck” has various symptoms such as neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain, headache, insomnia, tingling, and numbness at the hands. Although there are no specific diagnostic criteria for "text neck", some researchers have developed photographic methods to evaluate the head and neck posture. Preventive physiotherapy approaches can be suggested for “text neck”. In case of symptoms, therapeutic physiotherapy techniques can be applied. There are very few studies on preventive and therapeutic physiotherapy approaches. In these studies, postural education, to increase awareness, ergonomic design, and exercise programs become prominent. In this review, factors that cause “text neck" syndrome, symptoms, assessment methods, and treatment approaches are discussed with the literature.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a multifactorial endocrine disorder with a complex etiology. It is also associated with metabolic disorders that increase the risk of developing obesity and type 2 diabetes in women. Obesity / adiposity and insulin resistance is a common problem in women with PCOS. Genome projects, which examine the human genome in detail, have been shown to have a large number of genes and genetic variations associated with obesity and some diseases. Among these genes, fat mass and obesity-associated gene (FTO) and melanocortin-4 receptor gene (MC4R) variants are associated with obesity, excess body weight, and type 2 diabetes. Therefore, it is suggested that genes, FTO and MC4R, may be associated with PCOS through the effects of obesity / adiposity development. In this review article, the relationship of some obesityrelated gene polymorphisms (FTO and MC4R) with PCOS has been investigated.
